In Remembrance: Patrick Gyan

The Church of Pentecost • Sowutuom District

Nazareth Assembly

“Then I heard a voice from heaven say, ‘Write this: blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labour, for their deeds will follow them.”

— Revelation 14:13
Mr. Patrick Gyan, whose mortal remains lay before us today, has been a member of the Church of Pentecost, Nazareth Assembly for a little over twenty years. He joined the local assembly at its early stages in the early 2000s and was baptized by the then District Pastor of the Santa Maria District, Pastor D.D Dey.
During his heydays, he was very active in the Men’s Fellowship (PEMEM) activities. He inspired both the young and old with his expertise and knowledge whenever called upon. Though quiet and unassuming, he never hesitated to make his presence felt during times of offering.
He was a father figure for the young men in the church, providing advice and direction that leaves a vacuum in his absence. While health challenges made his attendance intermittent in recent years, the church continued to serve him communion at home, interceding for his restoration.
Our Father, who knows best, has called him into eternal glory. For this, May His name be praised.
Rest in the bosom of the Lord.
